One detained in Mumbai blasts case

September02, 2003 02:10 IST

A person was on Monday night detained at the Bangalore airport for suspected links with the Mumbai twin blasts shortly before he was to board a flight to Dubai.

Mohammed Faheen was taken into custody on grounds of suspicion, City Police Commissioner Mariswami said.

"We are verifying whether he had any links," he said.

Fifty-two people were killed and over 150 injured in the blasts that rocked Mumbai last Monday.
