The Concorde will be remembered as a breakthrough in civil aviation. Only 20 aircraft were ever built, and none of them will ever fly again. Most of them may end up in museums around the world.
It may be the end of commercial supersonic flight for now, but every passenger on the Concorde's final journey can guiltlessly justify the £9,000 air ticket. For, those who flew Concorde will always walk taller.
