Cong activists protest against Cadbury

Congress party activists on Tuesday demanded the Food and Drug Administration recall the entire stock of Cadbury chocolates from the retail and wholesale dealers and seal the factory.

The activists, from south Mumbai, also burnt a giant model of a Cadbury's chocolate.

Colaba unit chief and municipal councillor Vinod Shekhar led the demonstration.

The activists also submitted a memorandum to the commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation demanding the shops and establishment department, license department and health department take stringent action against the company.

They also demanded that the BMC work in coordination with the FDA.
