The prime minister visited the Baima or 'White Horse' temple in Luoyang.

Legend has it that the two monks arrived on horses with Buddhist scriptures from India at this place.

The Baima is widely believed to be the first Buddhist temple in China, though much of it was destroyed during the cultural revolution under Chairman Mao Zedong.
