Republican politician Bobby Jindal presents the India Abroad Person of the Year 2002 award to last year's winner Congresswoman Swati Dandekar. India Abroad did not have a formal ceremony to present Dandekar with her Award, hence Jindal did the honors a year later, on the same night that Sonal Shah became India Abroad Person of the Year 2003
