Jahid Patni, deported from Dubai recently, was arrested Saturday and remanded by a special court to police custody till December 15 in connection with the August 25 Zaveri Bazar bomb blast.

Patni was already in custody in the case of explosive seizure at suburban Andheri on December 2. He and three others had been remanded to judicial custody till December 15 in this case.

The other three accused in the blasts case are Sahed Mohammed Hanif, his wife Fahimida and associate Arshat Ansari.

All of them were produced before Designated Judge A P Bhangale.

Fifty three persons were killed and over 100 injured in the explosions at Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar in south Mumbai on August 5.
