Arrest warrant against
former SGPC chief

A court in Kapurthala on Sunday issued an arrest warrant against former president of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and sitting MLA Bibi Jagir Kaur in a power theft case registered against her on November 8.

District police chief R N Dhoke said a team has been sent to arrest Bibi Jagir Kaur.

A case was registered against the ex-SGPC chief for stealing power at her dera in village Bagowal.

The arrest warrant against her assumes significance in view of the SGPC elections scheduled for November 12.
