Singh, Jaitley, Naqvi appointed BJP general secretaries

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Rajnath Singh and former Union ministers Arun Jaitley and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi were on Thursday appointed general secretaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Announcing his new team, party president Venkaiah Naidu said the other two general secretaries would be Anita Arya, a Delhi Member of Parliament and Sanjay Joshi, who is already a general secretary on deputation from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Kailaspati Mishra, Pyarelal Khandelwal, Gopinath Munde, Dilip Singh Bhuria, Bal Apte, Harsh Vardhan and Karuna Shukla are the new seven vice presidents of the party.

Ramdas Aggarwal has been appointed as the new treasurer, Naidu announced.
