27 injured in grenade attack in Pulwama

At least 27 persons were injured, some seriously, when militants attacked a patrol party of the paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) with a grenade in the main bus stand at Pulwama, nearly 40km from Srinagar in south Kashmir.
Police immediately rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Pulwama hospital. Some of the injured who received serious injuries were shifted to Srinagar for treatment.
Police said the grenade missed the target and exploded in the bus stand resulting in injuries to civilians. No one has admitted responsibility for the attack.
Meanwhile, police said security forces were involved in an encounter with some militants holed up in Kunzar in northern Baramulla district.
