Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Savdas Patel formally submitted his resignation to Governor Sunder Singh Bhandari in Ahmedabad on Wednesday afternoon.
The governor accepted the resignation and asked Patel to continue in office until alternative arrangements were made.
