Bomb found near RSS headquarters

Police Thursday found a time bomb near the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters at Mahal in the old Nagpur area.

Police Commissioner Prabir Kumar Chakravorty told PTI that prima facie the bomb, the second to be found in the city in four days, was identical to the one found in a steel pipe detected near a rented office of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad at Mahal on Monday.

As soon the news spread, panic grew in the area and police immediately cordoned off the area.

Police officials along with dog squad and a bomb detection and disposal squad rushed to the site. Fire brigade too was summoned and bomb was taken to a safer place to be defused.
