Vazhapadi's party walks out of NDA

Stung by the denial of seats for the forthcoming assembly election in Tamil Nadu by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the Tamizhaga Rajiv Congress decided on Wednesday to quit the National Democratic Alliance.

TRC president and former Union minister Vazhapadi K Ramamurthy announced this to reporters in Madras on Wednesday evening after a meeting of his party's political affairs committee.
