Views:The timing of the expose is so perfect that the congress and ISI backing to tehelka is very evident. Whenever the Bofors investigation is in an advanced stage, Congress has engineered the fall of the then Government in office. It plainly cannot work as a responsible opposition a la the Ameican Political Parties. This is a golden opportunity for Hajpayee to cleanse the system. Do not waste time in committees. Hang those involved in the bartering of our Motherland's security. Probe ISI angle in Tehelka's funding. Do not permit this expose to demoralise the defence forces. Keep your powder dry. Parties in power and the Government should make a clean breast of all that has happened. Sack all the ministers, politicians, bureacrats, and defence personnel IMMEDIATELY. Have the guts to accept the shortcomings and single mindedly work for restoration of the Values in public life. People are with you. lest, give way for those who can do that. You are not indispensable.

Views:This is the worst day in my life. we indians working in other countries are unable to answer the questions by foreign colleagues. Those who involved in this scandal should be hanged (even if PM is involved he should be hanged without mercy). If the culprits left with small probes and sending them to jail will not stop corruption in India. Politicians backstabbed Mother India and are more dangerous than ISI and Pakistan. Other political parties should fight against government sacredly and not for political gain.

There are people from all parties and all government department who r involved in these kind of scandals Thus instead of supporting a group,it is better to punish the individual who are involved. There are good people also in all parties and deptts. The internet press was not doing very well so it used the weekness of politics to earn position between the people. If it is true the tapes should have been publised after the certification of any defence person.

Views:There lies a lesson for rediff in this. Rediff can also use its resources to do such investigative jounralism and help this country move forward. Instead rediff is happy publishing some inflamatory articles by all kinds of people or collection of well wishes from the public for the PM's knee surgery, Laxman's century, etc. Indians should get their priorities right and make sure they use all the resources they have for the well being for the country, and just sit back and be happy at the number of hits. Hats off tehelka, whatever the objective may be.

Jaya jaitley says she did no wrong. she took the money for her party and said she would support west end if any injustice was done...... GIVE US A BREAK - she wants us to believe that she could not see through that payment to the party was being made to gain accesibility to her, to fulfill the contract!!!! She must resign if she cares to show any social responsibility.

Views:I have been saying this all along: many of these corrupt Indian politicians and ex-Indian military personnel will sell out on India. How true! None of these culprits have any commitment or loyalty to India. Sometimes I wonder if most Indians have become genetically corrupt. One cannot breathe or walk without encoutering bribes, corruption, and unethical conduct. Most Indians have come to accept it as part of their lives. When will this nation come out of its slave mentality and grow up to be a mature, ethical nation? Not in my lifetime.

Views:One more thought on this ugly scandal by ugly people. BJP is corrupt and so is Congress. I used to think Military was the last bastion of ethics moral conduct. But lo and behold, here we go again. Perhapsd, India should ask USA to take over the Indian Govt. and run it for several decades till Indians learn to be honorable, ethical people. It seems corruption is very much of India's national genes.

Views:tehelka.com has brought to light the ugly face of politics that has been present from a very long time. Now that the facts are coming out openly, strict action should be taken against the enemies of the nation. They are draining out nation`s resources and people are losing whatever little faith they have in their so called leaders. No one should be spared . those responsible should immediately step down and not bring more shame to the country by carrying on as officials of the country.
