The body of Victor George, chief photographer of Malayala Manorama daily, was recovered on Wednesday morning, a spokesman of the newspaper said.
The lensman had been missing since Monday after a landslide at Udumbannur in Idukki district.
The body was located about 3 km from the landslide site.
George's camera and an umbrella were recovered on Tuesday. His body would be brought to the Thodupuzha government hospital before being taken to Kottayam, the spokesman added.
The 45-year-old lensman was the recipient of about half a dozen awards including the UNICEF prize. Victor, who joined the newspaper in 1980, had worked at Malayala Manorama's New Delhi bureau from 1985 to 1990.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
