One killed, five injured in grenade blast

One person was killed and five others injured in a grenade blast on the Srinagar-Gulmarg highway in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning, police said.

Militants hurled a grenade at a passing CRPF vehicle at Narbal, but it missed the target and exploded on the road killing a cobbler and injuring five others, including a woman and a minor girl, police said.

The injured have been hospitalised, they said.
