6 killed in post-poll violence in Bihar

Six persons were killed in different incidents of post-panchayat poll violence in Barh subdivision of Patna district on Monday night.

The second phase of the election took place on Sunday in which 20 people lost their lives.

According to the police, miscreants gunned down two persons at Daulatpur village under Athmalgola police station of the district.

In another incident, two persons, including a candidate for mukhiya (village headman), were killed in Dumra village of the same subdivision.

Another person was killed under Pandarak police station of Patna district while a bullet-ridden body was found on the banks of the River Ganga.

First information reports have been lodged in all these four cases, but so far no one has been arrested.
