Win Chadha gets Indian passportWin Chadha, accused in the Bofors gun deal payoff case, has been provided with a temporary passport by the Indian consulate at Dubai to enable him to stand trial in the case, Central Bureau of Investigation sources said on Friday. The passport was issued at a short notice at the instance of the external affairs ministry, apparently in the light of the non-bailable arrest warrants issued by the trial court of Additional Sessions Judge Ajit Bharihoke. The court had in its order earlier this month urged the passport authorities to decide on the application of Chadha at the earliest, but ''on merit'' following which the accused applied to the Indian consulate office in Dubai on January 9. Further hearing in the case has been fixed for January 20 when the court would decide on the date when Chadha would have to be produced. UNI
