Another officer 'sexually harassed', minister to quit

E-Mail this report to a friend

Kerala Transport and Forest Minister A Neelalohitadasan Nadar, embroiled in two sexual harassment cases involving his former secretary Nalini Netto and an Indian Forest Service officer Prakrithi Srivasthava, today said he would resign as minister and from the membership of the state assembly.

Nadar told the media that he had already informed Janata Dal-Secular state general secretary C K Nanu about his decision.

Chief Minister E K Nayanar had reportedly asked JD-S president M P Veerendrakumar and Nadar to be in Kochi today to apparently discuss the issue.

Even as Nadar denied having sexually harassed Netto in his chamber on December 21, a leading English daily today carried a front page report about a similar complaint from Kozhikode Divisional Forest Officer Prakrithi Srivasthava, who was later shifted to neighbouring Malappuram district.
