Curfew imposed in Navsari
following communal clashes

Curfew was imposed in Navsari town of Gujarat on Monday afternoon following communal clashes.

Trouble arose in the town on Sunday following rumours of violence in Alipore village, 20 km from Navsari.

Violent mobs took to the streets on Monday morning, and started pelting stones.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties, although at least 12 shops were set on fire.
