Producer-director Pranlal Mehta cremated

Noted producer-director Pranlal Mehta, who died at Leelavati Hospital in Bombay this morning, was cremated at Vile Parle crematorium a 1700 hrs. He was 60.

He is survived by his wife Pratima Mehta and two sons - Jay Mehta and Vijay Mehta.

According to family sources, Pranlal Mehta he was suffering from jaundice and was admitted to the hospital a month ago.

Among the director-producer's more memorable works were -Hum Se Badkar Kaun, Bezuban, Marte Dam Tak, 100 Days, Zid, Betaaj Badshah and Mafia.

His last production was Tarkieb, which was directed by his son Jay.
