Kalyan Singh quits as CM

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh submitted his resignation to Governor Suraj Bhan this morning.

Singh submitted his resignation following his replacement by the Bharatiya Janata Party high command. Ram Prakash Gupta will succeed him as the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
