Pappu Yadav wins Purnea seat

Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav (independent) has defeated his nearest rival Jai Krishna Mandal (Bharatiya Janata Party) by more than 200,000 votes in the Purnea Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar. Yadav wrests the seat.

Renu Kumari (Janata Dal-United) has defeated her nearest rival Naina Rana (Rashtriya Janata Dal) by more than 38,000 votes in the Khagaria Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar. The JD-U retains the seat.
