Faleiro sworn in as Goa CM

Goa Congress unit president Luizinho Faleiro, who was elected Congress legislative party leader on Monday, was today sworn in as the state chief minister along with five cabinet ministers.

Governor, Lieutenant General (retired) J F R Jacob administered the oath of office and secrecy to Faleiro at Cabo Raj Bhavan.

He took the oath in Konkani. Chief Secretary S R Sharma read out the warrant of appointment.

The five cabinet ministers are: former members of Parliament Ravi Naik, Francisco Sardinha, former ministers Churchill Alemao, Dayanand Narvekar and Nirmala Sawant, the lone woman minister.
