No talks with Pak till Lahore pact is implemented: PM

E-Mail this report to a friend

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has said India would have a dialogue with Pakistan chief executive General Pervez Musharraf only when Islamabad implements the Lahore pact.

Vajpayee was speaking to the media on the occasion of foundation-laying ceremony of the 2051 MW Parbati hydro power project in Sainj (Kullu), Himachal Pradesh.

He said a meeting of all political parties was being convened to reach a consensus on singing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.

To another question, he said there was no proposal and justification to create a separate ministry for Himalayan states.
