BJP's national executive to meet on May 1-2

The Bharatiya Janata Party has convened its national executive meeting on May 1 and 2 to discuss the present political situation and prepare plans to fight the coming mid-term elections.

The decision was taken at the office-bearers meeting presided by party president Kushabhau Thakre today, party spokesman M Venkaiah Naidu said.

The BJP and its allies would also meet later this evening to prepare for the coming round of electoral battle, Naidu said.

In reply to a question, Naidu said the executive would also decide about the party's alliances to contest elections in some states.
