There are several women-centric movies set to release post lockdown, and most of them are quite quirky.

Joginder Tuteja lists some of them.

Janhvi Kapoor's Roohi Afzana

Earlier titled Rooh Afza, the film was changed to Roohi Afza and then finally, Roohi Afzaana.

Janhvi will be seen in a double role in a horror comedy, playing Roohi Arora and Afzana Bedi.

Expect loads of fun from Janhvi and her co-star Rajkummar Rao, as the film tells the story of a ghost who abducts brides on their honeymoons.

Kiara Advani's Indoo Ki Jawaani

Kiara has showed us her quirky side in Lust Stories, which had an adult subject.

In Indoo Ki Jawaani, she plays Indoo, a girl in her 20s, who experiments with dating apps to find her best match.

Expect a lot of naughty content from Kiara.

Rani Mukerji's Bunty Aur Babli 2

Rani was adorable in Bunty Aur Babli and she returns in the sequel of this crime comedy.

Rani has Sharvari Wagh (The Forgotten Army) for company, who is also playing Babli.

Rani is supposed to be impersonating many more women, who go by the names of Vimmi Saluja Trivedi, Maria Patronski and Diya Jaisingh.

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi

This could be Alia's most challenging role in her career.

As Gangubai Kothewali, Alia will be seen as a teenager who grows up to be the most influential madam of a brothel in Kamathipura.

One waits to see how Alia plays a woman much older than her age in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali drama.

Taapsee Pannu's Haseen Dillruba

Earlier this year, Taapsee was seen in a dramatic entertainer, Thappad. Next up, she will be seen as Haseen Dillruba.

Though her name in the film is Rani Kashyap, expect the actress to bring in a lot of quirkiness to her part in this Aanand L Rai crime thriller.

Vinil Mathew, the man behind Hasee To Phasee, returns as director.

Vidya Balan's Shakuntala Devi

When Vidya played the title role in Tumhari Sulu, she won everyone's hearts with her endearing performance.

Now in Shakuntala Devi, she will be playing a woman across age groups, as she grows from being an inquisitive mathematician to someone on the top of the game.

Expect Vidya to bring some distinct characteristic traits here.

Urvashi Rautela's Virgin Bhanupriya

Urvashi, who was last seen in the comedy Pagalpanti, plays the title role in Bhanupriya.

One waits to see what the virgin angle is.

The makers promise a lot of fun and Urvashi, who played a femme fatale ghost in Great Grand Masti, will bring on the sensuality all over again.
