A little over a month before Ekta Kapoor's production Ek Thi Daayan hits theatres across India, Ek Thi Naayka -- a television show produced by her Balaji Telefilms Ltd -- debuts on March 9 and will be aired on Life OK.

The show, inspired from Indian folklore from various states about witches (daayan), is reportedly set to bring together some of the biggest TV stars.

The first episode stars Ankita Lokhande in the role of a newly married Maharashtrian bride, who encounters a daayan

The actress hasn't experienced anything spooky in real life but she believes, "If there is God, there has to be a ghost too."

How was her experience shooting for the show?

"I may be playing a Maharastrain girl again, like my character in Pavitra Rishta, but the genre is new for me. So it was different and fun working with my co-actor Sachin Shroff. The story is really scary," she says.

The actress, however, admits that she's heard of supernatural incidents from people she knows.

She reveals, "The actress, who plays my sister in Pavitra Rishta, had brought her cousins' pictures on the sets, which he had clicked along with his friends when he visited a haunted place. We all saw an image with no face and long hair, in the background. Her cousin was in shock after seeing the picture and later slipped into coma."

That Ankita is dating her former Pavitra Rishta costar and Kai Po Che debutant Sushant Singh Rajput is common knowlegde. What did she think of his debut film?

"I have lost count of the number of times I've seen the film. The first time I watched Sushant on big screen, I was in tears with joy. I had the same reaction while watching it for the second and third time but for the different characters. The character are so believable and I just loved the story of the film," she says with pride.

She adds, "I am glad that people have accepted him in Bollywood. It's difficult for a TV actor but Sushant has proved that if you have talent, nothing can stop you."

Sushant opted out of Pavitra Rishta earlier, and recently it was reported that Ankita had followed suit.

She clarifies, "I have been working on the show continuously for fours years and I badly needed a break.

"I really don't want to talk about the show. I am on a break and haven't taken up anything."

So is she following in Sushant's footsteps? "I have got offers, but I am not so keen on doing films. I am happy being on television."
