The softspoken Tamil-Telugu actress Ileana D'Cruz couldn't have chosen a better launch-pad in Bollywood than Barfee, or so she thought.
Even with a banner like UTV, director like Anurag Basu and co-star like Ranbir Kapoor, the film is turning out to be a never-ending saga of delays and missed deadlines.
The actress, who is afraid of offending the powerful team behind her Hindi debut, is keeping up an all-is-well facade just hoping and praying that her dates would not be wasted any more.

The truth is, Ileana has ended up juggling her dates between Barfee and her South Indian assignments, running to and fro from Mumbai to Chennai and Hyderabad.
Says a source, "Ileana has been giving dates to Barfee through the year. She's virtually at their mercy. There were date clashes with two of her Tamil and Telugu assignments -- Shankar's remake of 3 Idiots and now a film with Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. The girl has been keeping up a brave face since she doesn't want her Hindi debut to be jeopardized in any way."

Apparently, the Tamil and Telugu industry is none to pleased with the way Ileana has prioritized her career.
While Ileana is not "allowed" to talk at the moment, her spokesperson played down the damage saying: "Ileana has been able to manage her dates in a way that she can give adequate time to Barfee and her current project in the South, an untitled film opposite Allu Arjun."
'Luckily, despite the delay of Barfee, her other films haven't really suffered'

She has somehow been able to manage her dates. Before the film with Allu Arjun she finished shooting for Shankar's Nanban and had started shooting for the Allu Arvind film alongside Barfee. So luckily, despite the delay her other films haven't really suffered."
However, the busy South Indian actress has her fingers crossed, hoping that her career in the south doesn't suffer due to the delays in Barfee.
