Bollywood's star actors had quite an eventful year as far as public appearances and social dos are concerned.

So did their ever-changing wardrobes.

While we've seen their female counterparts and how they fared fashion-wise this year, here's a look at celluloid heroes who were photographed in ill-advised outfits.

Ranveer Singh

Although Ranveer Singh can get away with pretty much anything after his exceptionally cool turn on Koffee With Karan recently, this over-the-top jacket he wore for Deepika Padukone's recent bash rattled us a bit. 

Surely a real 'playah' wouldn't play with his admirer's emotions, no?

Amitabh Bachchan's much publicised Cannes debut in May this year for Baz Luhrman's The Great Gatsby was marred by the exceedingly bizarre jacket he wore to the first photocall.

However, this wasn't the first time the Big B had stumped us with his sartorial choices.

Zayed Khan's wardrobe, like his acting career, is facing the biggest slump of all time.

How else can one justify this outfit that he wore for friend and costar Ameesha Patel's birthday party in June this year?

Abhishek Bachchan isn't exactly the sharpest dresser in Bollywood but sometimes he really outdoes himself.

Making in-character appearances for promotional rounds ahead of your film's release is acceptable to an extent.

But at least try to make your avatar, no matter how outlandish in the film, a little presentable in real life? Hope Sonu Sood is listening.

Man-cleavage, ill-fitted boots and those denims don't really translate into rebellious youth attire if that's what Prateik was aiming for. 

It really just spells poor taste and misguided notions of coolness.

You can take Govinda out of films but films out of Govinda? Well, give it a shot.

This blindingly shiny suit probably helps the comic actor keep in touch with his erstwhile onscreen flambouyance. 

Shiny pants, short waist-coat make this outfit a surefire fashion fail which even Vivek Oberoi's winning smile can't redeem.

Who ordered baggy suits from the 1990s back?

Arunoday Singh, the otherwise hunky actor who could pull off well-tailored suits and kurtas, wore this rather shabby outfit to director Shaad Ali's wedding in January this year.

The best-looking and almost always well-dressed star of his time, even Anil Kapoor has off days, or so this appearance from a few months ago suggests.

Wish he hadn't left in a hurry because all he needed to do to save this look was tuck his shirt in.
