Bollywood stars took to Twitter to wish Lata Mangeshkar, who turned 83 today.

Asha Bhosle shared a picture of them together and tweeted: 'Today's Lata Didi's Birthday. Wishing her all the best, now & forever.'

Singer Shaan tweeted: ''Allah tero naam, Ishwar tero naam...' Very Happy Birthday to the Voice that emanates Divinity and Pure Grace 'Lataji'!!!'

Dia Mirza wrote: 'Time to fly :) have a wonderful day. And yes, Wish the Nightingale of India many many happy returns of the day! #HappyBDayLataji'

Shabana Azmi wrote: 'Salgirah Mubarak Lataji. Hum khushkismet hai ke us Daur mein paida huye jismein apko suna aur dekha.With love and respect HB'

As for the veteran singer, she received blessings from Pope Benedict XVI. 'Deeply honoured to have received Blessings from His Holiness the Pope,' she tweeted with the picture.

According to a report published in a daily, actress Sonakshi Sinha's friendship with Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder has soured since she didn't promote their film Joker.

But Sonakshi denied the reports and tweeted: 'Woke up to yet another fictional story today... The fate of a film at the box office does not change the relationship between the ppl involved. Things are fine between Farah and me. So idle minds can give it a rest.'

Amitabh Bachchan recalls his school days on KBC

Amitabh Bachchan reminisced about his early school days on his show Kaun Banega Crorepati as Karan Johar made an appearance with the cast of Student Of The Year as part of a promotional campaign.

'Ahhhh !! Back just now from KBC and a rigorous day ... but satisfying and joyful .. Karan Johar and his SOTY gang on set and kbc .. Recollecting early school days on KBC with Karan, Alia, Varun and Siddharth, stars of SOTY .. a nostalgic joy !! Gosh !' he tweeted.

Karan Johar, on the other hand, thanked him for the support. 'Thank u so much amit uncle @SrBachchan for being so affectionate and loving to team #SOTY on #KBC!!! Youre the best!!!!' he wrote.

Student Of The Year releases on October 19.
