With the famed Cannes Film Festival just around the corner, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan must be rummaging through fashion labels and high-end jewellery stores to top her previous years' appearances at the red carpet.
After all, this year marks her 10th consecutive appearance at the film fest.

2010
Aishwarya Rai shimmered in this Giorgio Armani Prive black evening gown last year. The strapless gown had layered embroidery in lacquered black jet beads and multicolored crystals at the bust.
Ash rounded off the look with satin peep-toe heels, a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and scarlet lips.
2009

Aishwarya walked the red carpet at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival in a Roberto Cavalli strapless white gown paired with a pink Swarovski clutch.
The dress had a short train, giving a very dreamy feel to the entire outfit.
But fashion pundits were divided on Ash's choice of hairstyle for the evening.
2008

This year saw the beautiful actress ditching the regular blacks and pastels and go for a more flambouyant fuschia dress with a plunging neckline.
She accessoried with not one, but two arm candies -- husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan -- and received mostly positive reviews for this one. Check out more pictures of Ash on the red carpet.
2007

This was the actress' first outing as a married lady and hence, new husband Abhishek Bachchan did not leave her side all through the event.
Ash wore an off-shoulder dress from Giorgio Armani that was fitted to below the hip and extended into a fish cut trail.

Ash was back in black with this gorgeously feathered black dress with fishtails that accentuated her curves. This was one of her most loved appearances.
2005

By 2005, Aishwarya had learn the ropes of dressing up for a high profile international event, as is evident from this beautiful Gucci dress that Ash wore to the Cannes in 2005.

It was friend and designer Neeta Lulla who designed all the dresses that Ash wore to the 2003 Cannes film fest and recieved a lot of flak for it too.
The garish green sari in particular turned out to be a failed attempt to showcase an Indian garment on a world stage.

This was the first time that Aishwarya went to Cannes for the promotions of her film Devdas co-staring Shah Rukh Khan.
