Shruti Indira Lakshminarayana reviews the Kannada film, Krishnan Love Story.

As the tag line of the Kannada film says, Krishnan Love Story is high on feelings. After working in teenage love story Moggina Manasu, Radhika Pandit teams up with director Shashank again in this film and comes out with a winning performance.

It's love at first sight for Krishna (Ajay Rao) when he sees Geetha (Radhika). She is a happy-go-lucky girl belonging to a lower middle class family. Her straight forward nature attracts just not Krishna but also Narendra (Pradeep). While both express their feelings to her, the lady seeks time putting forth her family problems; a sick mother and a good for nothing drunkard brother make up her family. Who will serve her interests better, the rich hotelier or the small time entrepreneur?

Radhika does a detour from her glam city girl image, but it is hard to miss the sophistication in her. She however comes out with a good performance in the second half.

Ajay Rao supports her amply with his restrained performance. Heavy duty action sequences give a boost to his image. While his conversations with his bike Homebegowdru may not tickle everyone's funny bones, his scenes with Sharan make you laugh easily. Achuta, Ninasam Ashwath, Padmaja Rao and Umashree appear in short roles. Chandru has done a good job as Radhika's wayward brother. Yogish appears in a song.

Music is by Shreedhar. Santheyalli nintarunu... has the Jayanth Kaikini stamp on it. One song is hummable though it has that heard-it-somewhere feel. Mosa Maadalendu Bandeya... is also a good composition.

The film is partly based on a true incident and thus has a real feel to it. It brings out the head versus heart dilemma that the youth in 'love' faces. However you may find it hard to digest a few sentimental dialogues and decisions. The second half drags a bit as well.

Chandrashekar's camera work stands out in the climax.

Krishnan Love Story is worth a one time watch.
