Jatin and Lalit Pandit split in 2006 after working together for 16 years and composing some of the finest songs of the 1990s for films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Khamoshi: The Musical, Yes Boss, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Sarfarosh, Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Hum Tum, Chalte Chalte and Fanaa.
Fanaa was the last film the brothers worked together on after which they went separate ways.
Jatin-Lalit came together for a stage show Eternal Hits of Jatin-Lalit on February 22, at the Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Auditorium, Sion, north central Mumbai, an event produced by Lalit's wife Meena Pandit.
The song fest featured Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Abhijit Bhattacharya, Sadhana Sargam, Shaan, Mamta Sharma.
