There are all sorts of genres on OTT, ready to cater to all of one's moods.

But which are the best thrillers?

The best murder mysteries?

The best action series?

In a new series, we look at the top 10 shows in the most popular genres.

Joginder Tuteja looks at the 10 Best Web series to watch with the entire family.

Kota Factory
Where to watch: TVF Play

Kota Factory is a clean entertainer that has gained a lot of prominence.

It's a good story about IIT aspirants in Kota, which is known for its engineering coaching.

Mayur More, Ranjan Raj and Alam Khan perform well while Jitendra Kumar has become a household name because of this.

Aspirants
Where to watch: TVF

An ideal follow-up to Kota Factory, Aspirants is about the life and times of three friends who reminisce about their time as UPSC aspirants.

In a way, it reminds one of Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhichhore.

Yet again, every actor, including Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal and Sunny Hinduja, impresses.

Yeh Meri Family
Where to watch: Netflix

When Yeh Hai Family released in 2018, Web series were at their infancy.

But such beautiful moments were created in this mini-series with Vishesh Bansal, Mona Singh, Akarsh Khurana, Ahan Nirban and Ruhi Khan that one couldn't help but get moist-eyed even with the smiles on.

Gullak
Where to watch: Sony LIV

Arguably, one of the best family shows on OTT without any cringing moments, Gullak has released two seasons and each one has impressed.

A mini-series which remains short and sweet in every episode, it stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayar and Vaibhav Raj Gupta.

Crashh
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5

Remember Yaadon Ki Baaraat? Based on the 1970s-style lost and found formula is Ekta Kapoor's Crashh.

The show is about four siblings -- the eldest is a cop (Kunj Anand), then there's a college student (Aditi Sharma), there's an influencer (Anushka Sen) and a driver (Rohan Mehra), and is truly emotional.

Mission Over Mars
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5

Yet another Ekta Kapoor show, Mission Over Mars came right after Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal.

Based on the same theme, Mission Over Mars had back stories and sub-plots properly fleshed out.

Starring Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Singh, Nidhi Singh, Palomi Ghosh and Ashish Vidyarthi, this is a informative watch for children.

Panchayat
Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video

After impressing in Kota Factory and then in the film Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan, Jitendra Kumar was seen in Panchayat which took the humour and drama to a village.

Enter Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta, and the proceedings lightened up even more.

Mentalhood
Where to watch: ALT Balaji and ZEE5

Karisma Kapoor made her acting comeback with Mentalhood, a Web series about mothers facing challenges while bringing up their children.

With a lot of light-hearted moments as well as plenty of shocks, this one -- co-starring Sanjay Suri, Sandhya Mridul, Dino Morea, Shilpa Shukla and Shruti Seth -- makes for a good family watch.

Hundred
Where to watch: Disney+Hotstar

Somehow, in the plethora of Web series that released last year, Lara Dutta and Rinku Rajguru's Hundred didn't quite get its due.

A roller coaster ride about a cop (Lara Dutta), who works with a terminally ill young woman (Rinku Rajguru) and not only solves a major crime but also brings in some laughs, Hundred is a clean family entertainer.

Mind The Malhotras
Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video

In India, sitcoms are still a rarity.

So when Dia Mirza decided to join hands with Applause Entertainment to make Mind The Malhotras, all eyes were on how would this family show would catch attention.

Starring Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahukar as a couple, this remake of the Israeli comedy La Famiglia makes for an easy watch with the family.
