David Schwimmer is Ross Geller

Role: Thrice divorced, father of two, Ross Geller is a paleontologist with a difference.

Schwimmer's turn in Hollywood wasn't any great shakes. He featured in bit roles in Apt Pupil and the Harrison Ford starrer Six Days Seven Nights. He also featured in Steven Spielberg's mini television series, Band Of Brothers.

Trivia: Schwimmer was the first actor to be signed for the sitcom.
