We saw Bollywood's biggest hits of the year yesterday.
Here come the ones that failed to create magic at the box office. Stars and big banners don't necessarily ensure hits and some of the movies that figure on the list were proof of that.
Check out the top ten!
1. Patiala House
Patiala House was a story set in London about an Indian underdog fighting racism and identity issues.
While the theme was cliched, Nikhil Advani's poor screenplay and direction failed to bowl over the audience too. The only saving grace in the film was Akshay Kumar who came out of his comedy avatar to work in a serious role, which was worth a watch.
2. Thank You

Akshay Kumar, Irfaan Khan, Bobby Deol and Suneil Shetty formed the male cast of the film while Sonam Kapoor and Co. pranced around in the background.
The humour was in bad taste and the plot absurd enough to ensure that moviegoers stayed away from theatres.
3. Mausam

A never-ending love saga, disastrous performances by its lead actors and a half-baked idea landed the film in rough weather.
4. Game

Abhishek Bachchan, along with Kangana Ranaut and a few others came together in a stupid film about murder, gambling, gangsters and their fight for survival.
5. 7 Khoon Maaf

Priyanka Chopra looked convincing in her character but what could have been a gripping film about greed and lust turned out to be a damp squib.
6. Rascals
Image: Movie poster of RascalsThis odd comedy caper starring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn couldn't be salvaged even by relentless skin-show by leading ladies Kangna Ranaut and Lisa Hayden.
There's only so many laughs you can invoke at the expense of a popular author and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films.
7. Ra.One
Image: Movie poster of Ra.OneAll the VFX and marketing jamboree didn't really help the most-awaited film of the year.
Made on a staggering budget, Shah Rukh Khan's superhero film Ra.One failed to take flight at the box office.
8. Desi Boyz
Image: Movie poster of Desi BoyzIt wasn't a good year for Akshay Kumar.
The actor, along with costar John Abraham, showed off his body while leading ladies Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh smouldered in every frame in Desi Boyz.
But the film didn't do as well as the makers had hoped it would.
9. Aarakshan

But the film turned out to be disappointing in terms of content and treatment.
Performances by Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone didn't stir the audience enough to take them to the theatres.
10. Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl

But the team couldn't replicate the success of the previous film.
