Say hello to Akshay Kumar's niece Simar Bhatia, who is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Agastya Nanda in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis.
Simar is Akshay’s sister Alka Bhatia’s daughter. Alka has stayed away from the spotlight but her daughter, we hear, wanted to be an actress from an early age.
Simar is Alka’s daughter from her first marriage to Vaibhav Kapoor. In 2012, Alka married renowned tycoon Surendra Hiranandani despite their 15 years of age gap.
After completing her schooling from Mumbai, Simar went to the US for higher studies. She attended the IMG Academy in Florida and later went to the George Washington University.
Simar is a trained method actor and learned the craft from The Jeff Goldberg Studio in Mumbai.

And the saga continues even in her adulthood.
Ikkis is inspired by the life of war hero Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously honoured with the Param Vir Chakra for his courage during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda plays Khetarpal.
Akshay welcomed Simar to Bollywood with a warm Instagram post: 'I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that’s the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child’s photo here beats everything. I wish my mom was here today and she would have said ‘Simar puttar tu tah kamaal hai.' Bless you my baby, the sky is yours.'
Here's looking forward to seeing the newest star jodi in town!
