What do you get when you have a ghazal singer, a popular Bollywood playback singer and a celebrity RJ in the same room? A rocking interview, that's what!
Continuing in our series, rediff.com presents excerpts from an interesting conversation between ghazal singer Bhupinder Singh, Bollywood playback singer Roop Kumar Rathod and RJ Manish Paul on Radio City 91.1 FM's morning show, Musical-E-Azam.
Bhupinder: Welcome Mr Roop Kumar Rathod, our star RJ.
Roop Kumar: I have one favourite song and I would like you to sing that song, Dekhen Hai Khwab Kai Baar.
Bhupinder: This song took me three months to make. I sat with Gulzarsaab during that time and we recorded in Mehboob studio. There is an aalap from Hemaji too in the song.
Roop Kumar: I have been such a fan of Bhupiji. He used to play great guitar. I used to get goose bumps. I don't know how his female fan must have behave! It is said that the older the wine is, the better it gets. Bhupiji's songs are becoming old and there is more magic adding to it.
Manish: I agree.
