I studied with Jimmy Shergill at the Punjab Public School, Nabha (Punjab) in the mid-1980s.
Jasjit (his official name) was an introvert and a dignified guy. He didn't speak much and was courteous to the girls.
He wore a turban then. Because of his aquiline features and good looks, he was better known in our school as Smarty. He was average in his studies and one of the few laidback guys.
I wish him luck in all his endeavours.
