The 50th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) kicked off in Panaji, Goa, on a grand scale.
The superstars of India cinema -- Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth -- flagged off the event, even as Karan Johar took up hosting duties.
IFFI will screen 26 feature films and 15 non feature films in the Indian panorama section, and as many as 10,000 film lovers are expected to attend and participate in the film festival.
To commemorate the occasion, a special postage stamp was also released.

He was awarded the Icon of Golden Jubilee, and he dedicated it to all the producers, directors and technicians, who worked in his films, his fans and the people of Tamil Nadu.
IFFI will showcase an retrospective of Amitabh Bachchan's films.
