Farhan Akhtar, who, as the first male ambassador of UN Women, recently spoke on violence against women along side the likes of Academy award-winning Boyhood actress Patricia Arquette and Hillary Clinton at the United Nations, took off to Manipal over the weekend.
The actor-filmmaker was slated to perform with his band at Revels, the annual college festival Manipal Institute of Technology.

If recent reports are to be believed, Excel Entertainment is gearing up for Rock On!! 2.
The film will feature the trio from the original; Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli while Shraddha Kapoor joins the cast as the the female lead.
Quite a few songs that Farhan sang at the cultural festival were dedicated to women's liberation, while he routinely urged his audience to pledge for MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination).
Farhan was all praises for Anushka Sharma, whose NH10 opened to rave reviews on March 13.
