PIX: Ajay Devgn's action-packed workouts for Action Jackson!

Want to keep fighting fit? Ajay Devgn may have a useful tip or two for you!

Ajay Devgn, who will be seen in this week's release Action Jackson, literally lived up to his new onscreen moniker by undergoing exhaustive training for a two-minute sword fighting sequence in the film.

These workout pictures will amaze you!

 

 

According to Action Jackson director Prabhu Dheva, his lead star had a two and a half minute sequence where he was required to be shirtless and engage in a sword fight.

Devgn, 45, readily agreed to do it and even lost 17 kilos for the shoot.  

 

Next up, was training in the Ninja sword fighting style, which is appears extremely stylised and thrilling on screen.

 

 

'He had to work out even on the sets right before the shoot and had to take care of the proper posture required for the fight sequence,' informs Prabhu Dheva, seen here with his leading man.

 

 

Devgn lifts some weights as part of his training.

 

 

Some high intensity push ups for those enviable abs, under the watchful eye of his trainer. 

 

 

The dedicated actor that Devgn is, 'He even worked through a fever and insisted on working out ahead of the shoot, which was extremely difficult,' an impressed Prabhu Dheva shares.

 

 

All those sweating sessions in the gym have clearly paid off for Devgn.

Now we have to wait and watch if it reflects in the film's opening weekend collections.
