The film is produced by Ram Mohan (an IIM-A graduate who worked with UTV, Mumbai and was an executive producer with Suresh Productions for many films and many years) under the aegis of Art Beat Capital P Limited.
Ram makes his debut as a producer.
Mohankrishna has got Kalyani Malik to compose music and the background score, P G Vinda to handle the camera, Ravindra as the art director and Marthand K Venkatesh to edit the film.
An interesting aspect is that the production house has launched for the first time an Ashta Chamma game on CD, mobile, online board game formats, all prior to the release of the film. Also, the music of the film was launched first on radio, something not normally done in the Telugu film industry.
Ashta Chamma is slated for release in late August or early September.
