Lata Mangeshkar will soon be seen on television's popular show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.
"Initially, she said, ‘Main kya karungi show mein?’ I assured her there would be no tomfoolery that Dadi and the other characters do on my show," Kapil Sharma says. "But Lataji said she wanted all that!
"After Lataji comes on the show, I wouldn’t know where to go because the two biggest legends of the entertainment business Amitabh Bachchan and Lataji would be a part of Comedy Nights With Kapil. It can’t get any bigger."
Kapil’s proudest moment was when Lataji sent him a birthday gift on April 2.
Says Kapil emotionally, “It was a beautiful watch. I couldn’t believe my luck. The following day I rushed to a suburban studio where she was recording to thank her. She is busy with recordings and family obligations in April. I will have her on my show in May."
Kapil still can’t get over the Big B coming to his show. “It was by far the biggest moment of my life. I was very nervous. All my anxieties evaporated in half an hour after he arrived. Bachchansaab is so easygoing. He has done live shows even before I was born, so he understands the medium perfectly. He took to the mike and sang Rang Barse. I joined him too."
Kapil says the journey on Comedy Nights With Kapil has been amazing so far.
"I get to meet all my childhood idols, and I get to laugh with them. I am blessed," he signs off.
