The speculation about who will play the female lead opposite Hrithik Roshan in Farah Khan's remake of the 1982 hit Satte Pe Satta has reached bizarre proportions, what with every heroine's name being tossed about.
First, it was Deepika Padukone, who starred in two of Farah's flicks, Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.
Farah was apparently keen on Dips who has never been cast opposite Hrithik, and it would have been nice to see her in Hema Malini's role.
But the casting was nipped in the bud as Deepika has no dates to spare until 2021.
Katrina Kaif's name came up, but she's done two films with Hrithik: Zndagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bang Bang.
A fresh pair would add value at the box office, so Kriti Sanon's name was suggested. But it remained a suggestion.
Sources close to the project tell Subhash K Jha that Farah may sign a debutante.
