1.Goodfellas (1990)
Hallelujah. The greatest gangster film of all time, Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas just seems to get better with each repeated viewing.
Ray Liotta plays Henry Hill, a young, bright kid with the burning ambition to be a part of the mob. Sure enough, he 'gets made', and befriends Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci on the way.
A compelling script with some incredible single-take shots and decidedly fabulous cinematography, this is a film that will live forever.
Henry: [narrating] Whenever we needed money, we'd rob the airport. To us, it was better than Citibank.
