There is something about a star in uniform that entices audiences.

Indian actors have taken note and made it look even better.

But they are not done yet.

Joginder Tuteja looks at upcoming movies featuring stars in uniform.

Kartik Aaryan

Though an announcement is awaited, Kartik Aaryan is rumoured to be playing an Indian Air Force pilot in Hansal Mehta's next film.

Ajay Devgn, Bhuj: The Pride of India

Last year it was announced that Bhuj: The Pride of India would see an OTT premiere, but the wait is on.

Ajay Devgn stars as an IAF squadron leader in the 1971 War. Sanjay Dutt and Sharad Kelkar also feature in the film.

Sidharth Malhotra, Shershaah

If not for the pandemic, Sidharth Malhotra's Shershaah would have released last summer.

He plays Kargil legend Captain Vikram Batra, Param Vir Chakra.

A Karan Johar production, this one will see Sidharth in a double role, as Vikram and his twin Vishal.

Adivi Sesh, Major

Major features Adivi Sesh as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who died fighting terrorists at the Taj Mahal hotel during the 26/11 attacks.

Major will see a multi-language release.

Vicky Kaushal, Sam Bahadur

Meghna Gulzar brings the legend of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw to the screen with Sam Bahadur.

Her Raazi star Vicky Kaushal features as the charismatic army chief when India fought the 1971 War.

Kangana Ranaut, Tejas

Kangana plays an IAF officer in Tejas, yet another film on the armed forces produced by Ronnie Screwvala after Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Akshaye Khanna, State of Siege: Temple Attack

Made for OTT, State of Siege: Temple Attack is second in the Siege series by ZEE5 after State of Siege: 26/11.

Based on the terror attack at Gujarat's Akshardham temple, Akshaye Khanna plays an anti-terrorist cop.

Think of Akshaye in uniform and you immediately recall his bravura performance in Border.
