Showbiz shaadis that made headlines in 2014.

Even as Bollywood’s best-known bachelor Salman Khan held on to his singledom and Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif remain shy of walking the altar, there wasn’t any shortage of celebrity weddings in 2014

Here’s a recap of the star-studded desi shaadis of this year.

Arpita Khan-Ayush Sharma

 

Quite easily the event of 2014, the extravagant, week-long nuptials of Salman Khan’s baby sister Arpita to Ayush, an aspiring actor and Congress Minister (Himachal Pradesh) Anil Sharma’s son, hosted at the swanky Taj hotels in Hyderabad and Mumbai witnessed an attendance from politicians, industrialists and showbiz.


Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra

 

If Hollywood’s power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally exchanged vows during a hush-hush wedding in France, Bollywood’s much rumoured romance became official after Rani Mukerji wed filmmaker Aditya Chopra in a closely guarded ceremony against the Italian countryside in the company of close family and friends. 

Ahana Deol-Vaibhav Vora

 

Dharmendra and Hema Malini left no stone unturned to ensure youngest daughter Ahana’s wedding to Delhi-based industrialist Vaibhav Vora is a grand affair with elaborate mehendi, sangeet, pheras and reception attended by bigwigs from both the filmi circuit (Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone) as well as political (L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, Dr Farooque Abdullah).

Producer Karim Morani (Arjun, Damini, Raja Hindustani, Chennai Express) extended his showmanship for daughter Shirin Morani’s wedding to Uday Singh with becoming grandeur enriched by the sparkling presence of his fraternity -- Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar.
