Ghayal Once Again

Twenty five years after Ajay Mehra challenged Balwant Rai, the high decibel drama returns to the big screen with its sequel.
This time, Sunny Deol takes on the directorial reins himself, and puts together an ensemble cast of Om Puri, Soha Ali Khan, Tisca Chopra, Nadira Babbar, Ramesh Deo and Sachin Khedekar.

Fitoor

Fitoor has a unique combination of Katrina Kaif, Tabu and Aditya Roy Kapur in its cast.
Based on Charles Dickens’ classic Great Expectations, Tabu’s role was to be played by Rekha but the actress opted out.
The film is expected to look good, thanks to its exotic shooting locations in Kashmir and Poland.

Sanam Re

Divya Khosla Kumar showed promise in her directorial debut film, Yaariyaan, and she returns with Sanam Re, starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela.

Sonam Kapoor steps into her first biopic, Neerja, where she plays flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who was shot down by terrorists in a hijacked flight.
Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film also stars Shabana Azmi.
Whether or not Sonam gets the acting right, she’s certainly got the look spot-on!

Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive

Himesh Reshammiya makes yet another acting attempt with Teraa Suroor 2, a sequel of his 2006 hit Aap Kaa Surroor.

Karan Johar's first production of 2016, Kapoor & Sons will see Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt pair up again after Student Of The Year. Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor will join in the fun.
Directed by Shakun Batra, the romantic comedy will have music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

The fourth installment of the Raaz franchise, Raaz Rebooted, will not have its original scream queen Bipasha Basu.
Instead, it will star Emraan Hashmi along with newcomer Kriti Kharbanda.

One waits to see what Ishqiya director Abhishek Chaubey has in store for us with his rustic film, Udta Punjab.

Shah Rukh’s second release of the year Raees co-stars Nawazuddin Siddique and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
Set in the1980s’ Gujarat. The film follows a slick bootlegger (SRK), whose business runs into trouble after tough cop (Siddique) comes into the picture. It is directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Sultan

Salman Khan’s piercing look and rippling muscles – revealed in a first look of the film – sets the tone for Sultan, and his fans are loving it already.
Sallu plays a wrestler in Ali Abbas Zafar’s film, and is apparently working very hard on his physique.

Dhishoom

Rohit Dhawan will direct his brother Varun as well as John Abraham in this action film.
Jacqueline Fernandes, Akshaye Khanna and Nargis Fakhri form the rest of the cast.

Mohenjo Daro
Release date: August 12
Ashutosh Gowariker takes yet another epic journey into the past, and gives us Mohenjo Daro, starring Hrithik Roshan.
The scale is big, and it has music by A R Rahman.
Former beauty pageant contestant Pooja Hegde makes her Bollywood debut here.

Rustom
Release date: August 12
Akshay Kumar, who is yet to begin shooting for this Neeraj Pandey production, has Esha Gupta for company here.
The film is apparently inspired from the 1959 Nanavati case, where naval officer Kavas Maneckshaw Nanavati was tried for the murder of his wife’s lover. Akshay will reportedly play Rustom, a man who is tried for the murder of his wife’s lover.
The film will be directed by Neeraj Pandey’s assistant Tinu Desai.

A Flying Jatt

Tiger Shroff pairs up with ABCD director Remo D’Souza, and plays a superhero in this film.
The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Kay Kay Menon and Amrita Singh.

Dhoni: The Untold Story

After we watch Emraan Hashmi play Azhar, we will see Sushant Singh Rajput play Indian skipper MS Dhoni in this biopic.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film will see Kiara Advani as Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, Ram Charan as Suresh Raina, John Abraham as Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gulati as Zaheer Khan and Fawad Khan as Virat Kohli.

Seven years after the hit film Rock On!! comes its sequel.
The original cast of Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai and Purab Kohli are joined by Shraddha Kapoor and Titli actor Shashank Arora.
Mostly shot in Shillong, the film has been directed by first-timer Shujaat Saudagar.

Rangoon

Shahid obviously wants to let bygones be bygones.
After starring with former love Kareena in Udta Punjab, he gets together with her husband Saif Ali Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon.
The film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, also stars Kangana Ranaut. Esha Gupta will be seen in an item number.
Rangoon is a love triangle set against the backdrop of the World War II.

Shivaay

Shivaay, directed by Ajay Devgn, frequently trends on social media, even though its release is almost a year away.
A high octane drama, the film also stars Dilip Kumar’s grandniece, Sayesha Saigal.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
