Who is your toughest competitor?
I'm competing with myself. I want to excel in every performance to stay on top.
Do you follow any diet?
No. I eat healthy. The channel has taken good care of us. We shoot for six-seven hours a day.
Have you made friends?
I am cordial to Monica Bedi. I chat with all the production people and choreographers. Javed Sanadi [choreographer] is the only guy I'm close to.
Yes, we saw that on television when you were talking against Hanif.
I was discussing the issue with Uma, the head choreographer, not with Javed. He came in later in the conversation. Javed is a good friend, he knows my fears. He even talks to Hanif if he has any problem.
Did you get any tips from your sister Nigar Khan, who was part of another dance reality show, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena?
Nigar told me to be strong and to take the negative comments positively. She visited the Jhalak house during my rehearsals recently, and told me to be careful with some of the lifts. She felt I was taking too many risks. My whole body is hurt. But it's a part and parcel of this competition.
What feedback did you receieve from your family and friends?
They think I'm the next superstar [smiles]. They say good things about my performance because they love me. I'm really happy that even viewers have appreciated my work. So far, I have got good comments from the judges too. Everyone likes our chemistry. People feel we look great as a couple when we perform. That's an added advantage.
Is Bollywood your next step?
If they recognise my talent and give me some good offers, why not? But I'm not looking at Jhalak as my stepping stone to Bollywood.
